Does Edifice work without internet?+
Not yet. Edifice requires an internet connection to save changes — offline support is on the roadmap, not available today.
How long is the free trial?+
After signup you can explore Edifice in demo mode right away. Once our team approves your school, you get a 14-day Starter trial with full data saving and sync. Subscribe via M-Pesa before it ends to keep access.
What is demo mode?+
New accounts can click through every module immediately after onboarding, but nothing is saved until Edifice approves your school. This lets you evaluate the product before your real trial begins.
Can I upgrade from Starter to Professional?+
Absolutely. Upgrade anytime from Settings → Billing. Your data carries over and hostel, transport, and multi-campus features unlock immediately on Professional.
Is my data isolated from other schools?+
Yes. Each school gets a dedicated database. Your students, fees, and staff data are never shared with other organizations.
Do you support M-Pesa payments?+
Yes. Edifice tracks M-Pesa fee collections alongside cash and bank transfers, with PayHero integration for subscription billing.
Is Edifice compliant with Kenya regulations?+
Edifice isn't a certified compliance product. It gives every school a dedicated, isolated database, role-based access control, and an audit log — the operational hygiene regulators look for — but it doesn't file with ODPC, KRA, or any Kenyan authority on your behalf.
Can I install Edifice on a tablet or phone?+
Yes. Edifice is a progressive web app (PWA). Install it on tablets in the classroom, phones for administrators, or desktops in the office.
